In partnership with Ficus Capital, INCEIF University embarked on a mission to develop a sustainability assessment framework tailored for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). With a vision rooted in the objectives of Shariah (maqasid al-Shariah) and the principle of tadarruj, we sought to gradually empower MSMEs to embrace sustainable practices that benefit them.

In May 2024, our mission became a reality. At the Global Forum on Islamic Economics and Finance (GFIEF 2024), we launched the ESG-i Assessment Framework. The event, officiated by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Senator Dr Zulkifi Hasan, marked a significant milestone in our journey towards fostering sustainable and ethical business practices among MSMEs.
